In addition to celebrations of life for humans, our pets are extremely important to us and saying “Goodbye” can be very traumatic when the time comes. Historically there has been no formal ceremony to celebrate their life, and this makes their departure more difficult.
I have also loved and lost many special pet friends over my lifetime. Each one holds a special place in my heart, and though they are no longer physically present, they are not forgotten.
At our meeting I will listen and make notes to capture the essence of your pet’s personality as you explain the life they enjoyed and the relationship they had with you. Recording all those wonderful moments you had together.
I aim to ensure that your loved one is honoured in an appropriate manner and will spend time with you to ensure that the service is as unique as your companion.
The pets we share our lives with become part of our family, it can be very painful to say goodbye as we endeavour to heal. Particularly for children, the death of a loved animal can be a big shock. A sensitively crafted and delivered funeral can help make sense and provide true solace.
There are official pet burial sites, or we may have ashes to scatter or memorialize, or a favourite park to scatter in. I will work with you to give your loved one a funeral or memorial/ashes ceremony to do justice to the years you spent together.
All of the ceremonies I lead are individually crafted, with sensitivity and a deep appreciation for your friend, companion, treasured pet.
Do get in touch for an informal, no obligation chat over the phone, or to arrange a get-together to talk through your ideas . . . I’m always happy to answer any questions you might have . . .
